For the past year she has been fighting to adopt her half sisters child from another country. After spending almost $100,000 dollars and a very emotional rollorcoster, i feel that she has just lost control completely and i dont know how to deal with her any more!.. Heres some background info.. Her mother didnt love her and still doesnt, she was brought up by her grandparents, her father who she just met is a compulsive liar, and molested her half sisters. She then found out one of her half sisters had died, and left behind the child, and his father also recently died (this prompted her to adopt her) and then went through a hellish court case to get her here – and the child has very troubling mental issues ie, has an attachment disorder cant love etc.

I just want to list some symptoms i have noticed over the past year and a half in my mother in law in the hopes someone can help me deal with her better and explain if she has something wrong with her.?

Over reaction to the smallest things, ie. asking her a question about finance she will go banannas like.. OH YOU CANT DO THAT THATS STUPID I CANT BELIEVE U ASKED THAT!!

Over analyzing situations and peoples actions. Ie, her adoptive daughter what conditions she thinks she has, but wont take her to therapy or anything because “she doesnt want her in the system”

Has a great desire to control everything in her power including her childrens finances!

When an argument errupts, she resorts to telling others she has a higher IQ and she KNOWS BEST!!!

Tells family to be very secretive about her adoption case, but then tells everyone possible herself about the case – ie shop keepers, post office workers, people she doesnt know etc.

Will not authorise money to her husband to buy things for their potentially very profitable business and picks fights to get her own way with business matters.

But has no problems herself spending lots of money each day – ie, in a simple trip to the shops she spent around $500 on nothing in particular. Spends about $1000 on each person at christmas and birthdays. Then goes out of her way to spend more on the children because “she feels bad”

Buys things for her younger children when they act out – ie, a video games, toys, etc.

Deliberatly leaves her eldest son out because he went into the family business instead of doing what she wanted him to do. ie, doesnt invite him to bbq’s, family events etc.. (very very hurtful to him and me)

This is just a small list of the weird behaviour she is showing.

Any one have any ideas what to do or how to handle her???????? PLEASE!!!!

Sorry if this is really long !!!

Well i want this horse down at the farm i go to … well she’s a filly really but she’s a beauty and i have a strong bond with her and everybody says she’s suitable, im helping to back her at Christmas. So the thing is my dad told me i could get a horse in July for my 14th birthday if i wanted as long as it want the filly (she’s called Lola by the way), so i turned down the offer. The price of this beautiful filly is rising as she gets older and will be more expensive as she gets backed, so i am going to see if i can make around £1000 in a year and a half.

Me and my friend have thought of a way to get money… these ideas are just for the summer holidays. I am 13 and my friend is 12 … could you please tell me if these ideas are okay and the prices are suitable?
We are going to post a flyer through doors while i do mypaper roundd, having on it:

Dog walking – £4 per dog, walked around the meadows, taking approximately 45 mins.
Babysitting – £2 per single child ; deal – £4.50 for 3 children … charged per hour.
Gardening – I was thinking maybe £4 per hour? Or is this expensive?
Car Washing – £5 per car .. washed very thoroughly and well.
Lawn Mowing (using the clients mower) – £5 small yard
£9 medium yard
£13 large yard
At the end of the job, or during the job, we will be more than willing to nip to the shop for the client for and added on £1, or post mail for £1.

We were also thinking of making special personalised cards and selling them for a cheap price. We are always quite proud of our cards that we make for birthdays and i think they are quite good icon smile 13 Year old Money Making?
small card ( A5 card folded) – £2.50
med card ( A4 card folded) – £3.50
large card ( A3 card folded) – £5.00

We would also set up cold drinks stands on main roads for people who have been on outings. this would be cordial and soda in small plastic cups for 50p each. We would store the drinks in coolers under the table and pour the drink when wanted. ( so the drink wouldnt go warm )

Feedback on out ideas please icon smile 13 Year old Money Making?
